Bhote Koshi Is yet anther popular river for rafting. It flows down from the plateau of Tibet where it originates, to Nepal in the south. Passing through deep gorges, the Bhote Koshi  offer s a rugged landscape and a great river expedition. With its classic rapid of class III in the lower level and class IV to V at higher flows. Bhotekoshi offers a terrific trip. Some Of the Rapids encountered on the trip are: Frog In a Blender, John’s Home, Gerbal in the Plumbing. Liquid Bliss, Dazel and Confused.

After a three driving from Kathmandu along the road to Tibet, one arrives at Bhotekoshi all geared up for the adventure. This is a fast flowing river owing to its steep gradient. With some challenging rapids, this is suited for novices and expert river guide as well. For some, it is the ultimate rush.

Itienery Overview

Early morning after breakfast you will drive to 95 Km away from the Kathmandu by the private vehicle. The driving is really Interesting and passes the different Nepalese villages and with natural beauty of the hills and mountain views. After the  scenic drive and cross the countryside our starting point will arrive. After preparation of rafting gears we start our trip.

On the Bhote Koshi River the rapids appear one after another and are highly technical. It must be stressed here that it is very important to listen to the guide’s instructions. The paddle must be used following his instruction. Until lunch it is easier. After Lunch it is much challenging rapid which make you more excitement. With beautiful waterfalls, bush and gorge of the river make your adventure lifetime memorable.

Useful Informations

If you can't swim or not any confident in the water, we will be providing you with the life jacket to make sure you are safe. Also it is essential that if you have any medical condition that you have to inform us that may affect you well being on the trip.

During the trip such thing weather, local Politics, transportation and other factors are beyond our control which can change our itinerary. If such thing happens our rafting guide will customize your trip.

VISA INFO: Entry Visa fees- at present US$ 25 for 15 days, US$ 40 for 30 days and US$ 100 for three month visa on entry to Nepal. You can take visa after landing Nepal in Tribhuwan International Airport.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO TRAVEL IN NEPAL :
Because of its elevation, Nepal can divided into three zones-the high mountains, the mid-hills and the flat plains called the Terai. The Everest, Langtang and Annapuran Trekking destinations in the mountains are cool throughout the year. The mid-hills, including Kathmandu & Pokhara, are cool except in the summer months from May to July. Temperatures in these cities during the summer remain much cooler that in many cities of the region. Lumbini, Chitwan and Janakpur in the Terai plains are hot in summer ( March-July) but cold in winter( December- February).

Any month of the year would be good to visit Nepal around the mid-hills & flat plains and September to May is good time for trekking and expedition.

IS SOMEONE GOING TO MEET ME AT THE AIRPORT ?
Our airport representative will come to the airport to pick up. We will be displaying a play card Global Holidays Adventure with your name on it. You need a visa to Nepal. You can easily get a visa upon your arrival in TIA airport, Kathmandu on paying US$. 40 for a month US$. 100 for three
months.

DO I HAVE PRE_DEPARTURE MEETING ?
Yes, at first, our staff will receive you at the airport and transfer to the Hotel and our tour leader will brief regarding about the trip. The briefing will cover the itinerary and introduced your trek leader.

While briefing, please bring passport, 3 copies of passport size photos, travel insurance, writing pen and notepad.

HOW DO I PAY TO GLOBAL HOLIDAYS ADVENTURE ?
How do i pay to Global Holidays Adventure?
After the trip confirmation you will send around 25% advance deposited by wire transfer to GHA Bank Account and remaining you can pay after your arrival by Cash or Credit Card but to pay by credit card there will be extra 4% bank service charge. Now Traveller Cheque is not acceptable as per the rule & regulation of Nepal Rastra Bank. We accept visa card, master card & National Card.

WHAT SORT OF ACCOMMODATION CAN EXPECT IN KATHMANDU AND DURING THE TOUR ?
There are all kind of Hotel simple to 5* hotel in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwon, Lumbini and others places. It's depends on your demand but normally in our tour package we use standard rooms from 3* or 4* on BB Basis.

WHAT'S THE COMMON FROM OF GREETING IN NEPAL ?
It is called Namaste or Namaskar. You can say the greeting in words as well as do it using a gesture. Join your palms together and bring them close to your chest and about 5to 7 inches below your chin. The word Namaste has many meanings such as Hello, How are you?, I am glad to see you, nice to meet you, good morning, etc.

WHAT ARE THE BASIC NEPALI CUSTOMS THAT I NEED TO KNOW ?
When visiting a temple, always circumambulate it is a clockwise direction.
Take off your shoes before entering a temple or a Nepalese home.
Entrance to some temples is forbidden, so look out for such notices.
Seek permission to take photographs inside temples or of religious ceremonies.
You can accept a handshake offered by either a male or a female but never offer your hand first.
Show decency in dress and avoid any show of public affection.

HOW ARE COMMUNICATION FACILITIES IN NEPAL ?
Mobile coverage is wide in Nepal, even in the rural areas. Internet facilities are available in hotels and cyber cafes in all major cities. Apart from the urban centers, popular trekking destinations-the Annapuran and Everest Region, also have modern communication facilities.

WHAT IS THE CURRENCY OF NEPAL ?
Nepalese currency is spelled as Nepalese Rupees or Rupee ( Rs) or Nepali Rupee, and in short it is NRS or Rs. 100 Paisa equals 1 Rs. Currently Notes of the following denominations are used 1000, 500, 100, 50, 25, 20, 10, 5, 2 and 1 Rupees. Coin has not been popular in Nepal hence is almost always ignored in business.

ARE THERE ATM FACILITIES IN NEPAL ?
Yes, in Kathmandu, Pokhara and main city of Nepal there is the facilities of ATM.

WHERE CAN I EXCHANGE MY MONEY ?
It is illegal to exchange foreign currency with persons and organizations other than those authorized such as Travel Company, Banks, Hotels and Licensed money changers.

DO I NEED TO TIP MY GUIDE AND DRIVER ? HOW MUCH WOULD THAT BEST ?
This is difficult things to tell. It's up to you from your heart by looking their work and support. Tipping is not required, but a small way to show your guides and drivers thanks for their help. The level of the tip should reflect the level of personal involvement with your guide.

WHAT ESSENTIAL DOCUMENTS DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME ON TOUR ?

WHAT ARE THE HEALTH REQUIREMRNTS TO VISIT NEPAL ?
Nepal does not require any specific immunization for visitors. It is however best to have vaccine before coming to Nepal. Your doctors can advice you on the type of vaccine to be taken to travel to third world countries like Nepal.

The following is the list necessary equipment that is recommended for your to bring with you on a for the white water rafting or kayaking trip in Nepal. If you don’t have everything required, no worry you can easily purchase or hire in Kathmnadu.
