The festival marks the birth anniversary of Guru Rinpoche. Held in Punakha Dzong attending the festival one can witness colorful and exotic Mask Dance and enjoy listening to the folk song sung by women. The three day festival let tourist experience and come closer to the rich culture and tradition of Bhutan. This festival is held every year inside Punakha Dzong. Being the administrative center of Punakha District the Dzong is second oldest and one of largest Dzong of Bhutan. The place tends to be must visit place and has importance for its both cultural and historical significance.
Festival date: March 1st – 3rd 2023
Apart from festival you will be doing sightseeing and get some glimpse of Bhutanese lifestyle. The land of Thunder Dragon has lot to offer. The exotic architecture and the colorful buildings where each color symbolize different meanings. Globally known as The Land of Thunder Dragon, Bhutan is a beautiful as well as an isolated country blessed with nature. The country has developed a unique identity and rich culture and heritage.
Flight to Paro (28 February 2023)
Today we will catch the flight to Bhutan and land on the place called Paro. The 1.5 hrs. drive will take you to capital of country Thimpu. Rest of the time you could do some sightseeing at Tashichho Dzong, Drake Wangyal Khanzang Stupa and others. You will be welcomed by one of the representatives at Paro airport.
Thimpu to Punakha (1st March 2023)
The 2.5 hour drive will take you Punakha where the festival is held. Rest of the time you can do some sightseeing at places as Chhimi Lhakhang, Khamsum Y.N Chorten, suspension bridge etc.
Festival (2nd & 3rd March 2023)
You will be witnessing the activity that will be going on during festival. You will be amazed by the festival.
Drive back to Paro (March 4)
Today 3.5 hour drive will take you back to place called Paro. Rest of the time you can do some sightseeing at Paro. National museums, Dungstse Stupa, Ringpung Dzong and others.
Visit to Taktshang Monastery (March 5)
Located 7 km away from Paro town and have to hike 2 hour from mountain base. The monastery is built on scary cliff. The hike to monastery makes a wonderful half day excursion. The place is also known as Tiger nest. Rest of the time you can do some sightseeing as well as chill around the places of Bhutan.
Fly back to next destination (March 6)
Usually if one could get the connecting flight from Paro flying to Delhi, Bangkok or to their next destination then it’s not necessary to fly back Kathmandu.

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia.
It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth. Even the all-powerful Pointing has no control about the blind texts it is an almost unorthographic life One day however.
