Language: – Nepali is official language, although English is widely spoken.

Currency: Nepali rupees, roughly $1 equals RS. 115.

Power: 220V 50Hz Power adaptors C, D, & M.

Insurance: In order to cover the cost of rescue helicopters from the mountains in the event of a serious accident or altitude sickness. Before travelling it is advised to get proper insurance from your home country.

Weather: Bring belonging according with seasons but don’t rely on weather forecast fully. However in Kathmandu its neither too hot nor too cold.

Best time to visit

High seasons are October- November and March- May. During the October November sky is clear and the weather is relatively warm. This is the best time for trekking and many  trekkers hike to Himalayas to see the gigantic Himalayan views. March April is blooming season where you can see variety of  blooming regular and wild flowers during trekking. During trekking in mountain regions you could find many tents of mountain climbers as well. June to September is monsoon season where trekking as well as national parks conserving wildlife are closed because of difficulty and views are not clear because of thick cloud and bushes. Winter is also good season for trekking but you have to prepare for cold and snow in your trail.

Travelling during visit

If you are planning to travel by road then it takes a long and time consuming journey but is an eye opening experience. For instance 200 km journey will take you about 6-7 hours. If time is issue then it is advised to take a flight or else road experience is some thing different.
