Later, finishing up sightseeing in Thimphu, you will drive back to Punakha. Your travel to Punakha, which is around 75 kilometers from Thimphu, will take approximately 3-4 hours, depending on road conditions and breaks.
Crossing the Dochula Pass, which offers a view of the whole Bhutanese Himalayan range, including the highest peak, Gangkar Puensum, on a clear day. This is one of the day highlight of today’s drive.you will also witness, the 108 chortens that is constructed by Queen mother as a memorial.

Punakha Sightseeing and drive to Paro (Distance 150 km 5 hours).
Punakha Dzong, arguably one of Bhutan's most beautiful dzongs, is situated at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers and is especially beautiful in the spring when the lilac-colored jacaranda trees bloom. Chimi Lakhang, a temple located at small hill top, known as the "Temple of Fertility," widely believed to bless couples who seek fertility. Short walk through the village fields leads up to the temple, providing a glimpse of daily life in this rural area of Bhutan.
After lunch, start your journey back to Paro. This 150-kilometer trip, which takes around five hours to complete, passes through a variety of landscapes and may include stops at picturesque locations. Stop sometimes to snap photographs and stretch your legs. The Simtokha Dzong, located just south of Thimphu, can be an interesting to visit.
Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery (4 km hike, 3120 m altitude, 2 hours hike one way) - Afternoon sightseeing in Paro.
Enjoy a breakfast at your hotel to start the day off well. Taktshang Monastery (Tiger’s nest) is Bhutan’s most recognizable cultural icon perched 800m/2640ft up a seemingly sheer cliff. It is believed that in the 8th century, the great tantric master Guru Rimopche/ Padmasambhava (2nd Buddha) flew on the back of a tigress to the site where the monastery now stands. If you ride a horse upward it will cost extra US$20 per person.
To get to the trailhead, follow your guide. It's a quick journey, and you'll reach the starting point of the walk on schedule. It takes around two hours to trek the 4 kilometers each way to Tiger's Nest, depending on your pace. The trail is well-liked and easily accessible, however there are some high sections. Halfway along the trek is a cafeteria. It's a wonderful spot to pause, have some refreshments, and take in the breathtaking grandeur of the monastery. Once the walk is over, you may explore Kyichu Lhakhang. Dating back to the 7th century, this temple is among the oldest in Bhutan. This location offers a serene and spiritual experience that reflects Bhutanese Buddhism's long history.
