This adventurous Gokyo Lake trek starts from Lukla after half an hour mountain flight from Kathmandu, on the way following the Milk-River known as Dudh Koshi toward Namche. After Namche you set off from the main trail towards the lethargic town of Phortse Tenga and lastly reach to our definitive destination Gokyo Lake passing Dole and Machhermo.
Gokyo, the hidden valley in the Himalayas has its own reputation among adventure junkies. The wavering light lake has blessed the area with astounding and amazing views of nature. Not only the silence of nature with hidden destructive power, can you get the life time opportunity to see the 360 degree panoramic views of mountains above 8000 m. The panoramic view from here is more spectacular than from Kala Patthar viewpoint.
Recommended Season
March to May and mid Sept to mid Dec are the best time to trek these places. The sunny weather with very rare rainfall creates awesome scenario. Nights are extremely cold as you reach higher altitude. Monsoom trekking (June-July) will flood your Everest Gokyo trekking experience while Summer is best for botanist.
Arrive at Kathmandu Tribhuwan Airport (1300 m).
Arrival at Tribhuwan international airport. Global Holidays Adventure representative's will meet you in airport and transfer to hotel nearby Thamel.

Fly to Lukla (2804 m) trek to Phakding (2610 m) 3 hrs.
At early morning our Guide will pick up you from hotel and transfer to Tribhwan Airport. After 35 minute scenic flight we reach at Lukla Airport (2804 m). After arrival at the airport guide will brief you and introduce our porters before we begin our trek towards Phakding at 2610 meters. After landing at Lukla airport we have time to explore the village while our Sherpa crew sort and load our trekking equipment. Then we begin our trek by descending towards the Dudh Koshi river where we join the main trail to Namche Bazaar, located just above Chaunrikharka (2713 m). The walking is easy and after passing through the small village of Ghat (2550 m) it is a short walk to Phakding.

Trek to Namche Bazaar (3441 m) 5/6 hrs.
Today, we continue our trekking along the banks of the Dudh Koshi, crossing this majestic river many times on exciting suspension bridges laden with breathtaking views. Namche Bazaar known as the Gateway to Everest which is home to many quality restaurants, hotels,lodges,shops,Money exchange, internet cafe and a bakery. Namche is one of the biggest villages along the whole Everest trail.

Namche Bazaar Acclimatization day.
In order to acclimatization we will spend a day here and adjust to the thinning of the air . As well as a short trek to a museum clebrating the traditional customs of the Sherpa people to visit. Today we hike up the Syangboche Airport, and around Everest view hotel. From this point, we can see rewarding views of the Himalayas with a stunning sunrise or sunset over the panorama of the Khumbu Peaks.

Trek to Phorste Thanga (3680 m) 5/6 hrs.
Today, our trail climbs out of valley through Rhododendron forest, juniper and large conifers start to appear as the elevation increases making the trekking beautiful in spring. The trail passes through Yak Kharkas and summer settlements. The views of Khumbi la and Tawache are magnificent throughout the day.

Trek to Gokyo (4790 m). 5/6 hrs.
Today, The trails climbs a ridge for an excellent view both down the valley to Kengtega and up towards Cho-Oyu and descend to a river and again climbs steep to the terminal moraine of the Ngozumpz glacier. We will reach at Machherma by early noon.

Trek to Gokyo (4790 m). 6/7 hrs.
Today, we trek for our one of the final destination, Gokyo (4790 m). We will make camp our basecamp for 2 nights, we will have couple of sightseeing and hike trips around Gokyo.

Trek to Gokyo Ri (5483 m) and then Back to Gokyo. 5/6 hrs.
Today, At early in the morning we have steep climb up to the top of Gokyo ri at elevation of 5483 meters, ample to one attempts this trip. There are stunning views of the supper Gokyo valley, the massive Ngozumpa Glacier and an incredible panoramic view of the whole Khumbu Himalayas, such as a giants as Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Cho-Oyu nad Gychung Kang can be seen. Those who explore the glacier and Gokyo peak are rewarded. Today we have for acclimatization and after-noon back to the camp.

Trek to Thangna (4500 m) 4/5 hrs.
Gokyo Ri is the highlight of this trip.Early morning, we hike up to the Gokyo Ri. Climbing to Gokyo Ri is obviously strenuous as it is steep up and takes 3 to hours to rach the top. But even from the trial scenery of Gokyo village on the edge of third lake overlooked by Cholatse and the broad Nogzumpa Glacier are mind blowing. We feel like we are surrounded by panoramic mountains like Kusum Kanguru, Thamserku, Kangtega, Taboche, Cholatse, Makalu,Lhotse,Everest, Changtse and Pumori. Light of Sunrays kissing the Everest that towers over all surrounding peaks is unlike from Kala Patthar. Our Gokyo Ri visit will be unforgettable life time memories. we trek down to Gokyo. Upon breakfst we trek to Thaknak for overnight scaling by the second lakes and the Ngozumba Glacier.

Cross Cho La pass (5300 m) trek to Dzongla (4710 m) 7/8 hrs.
Today, At Early morning before sunrise we have to start our trek and reach the pass by 9-10 am otherwise weather conditions will disturb our journey. We cross over at an altitude of 5300 meters we could be exposed to strong winds if crossing too late. We start to climb steeply that is regularly used and easy to follow. However, the problem may arise due to the altitude and snow. It often causes terrible problems to cross the pass if it is covered by snow. As you reach the top, you are rewarded by the magnificent views, then we descend to the Dzongla at noon.

Trek to Lobuche (4910 m) 4/5 hrs.
Today's walk will be little bit shorter. Thus, we would get more time to observe and relax. we climb down from Dzongla and cross a bridge and then transverse through grassy trail, enjoying the view of Lobuche peak we stretch up eventually through a ridge. Ama Dablam, Kangtega, Thamserku Taboche are seen looming prominently. Curving round through the wide gravelly river bed, we will ba t Lobuche.

Trek to Everest Base Camp (5365 m) then back to Gorak shep, 7/8 hrs.
Today's trek is quite difficult along the Khumbu Glacier and up to Everest Base camp at 5365 meters. The closest you can get to Mt. Everest without mountaineering equipment. There will likely be a team there about to attempt the summit. The view of the Khumbu icefall from Base cmap is spectacular. We return back to Gorak shep for the night. Hike up to Kalapattar (5455 m) early in the morning then trek down to Periche (4200 meters). 7-8 hrs.
This will be one of the most difficult yet rewarding days of the trek. Most of morning in this day is spent climbing Mt. Kala pattar,a small peak at 5555 meters. The ascent is demanding but the climber gets the most magnificent mountain panorama: Everest, the highest point on the planet at 8848 meters, towers directly ahead and on all sides loom the other giants,Nuptse,pumori,Chagatse,Lhotse and countless others. We make a quick descent to Gorak shep, a tiny hamlet at 5180 meters then trek down to Periche.

Trek to Namche Bazaar (3441 meters) 6/7 hrs.
Today, From Periche we take a slightly different route down to Orsho then to Pangboche village. Here we can see the oldest monastery in the region which contiains what is said to be the scalp and bones of a Yeti, or abominable snowmanthe at elevation of 3860 meters before continuing back to the town of Namche Bazaar at 3441 meters. We arrive back into Namche Bazaar in the afternoon.

Trek to Lukla (2804 m) 5/6 hrs.
Finally, we return to Lukla where the trek began, which will seem like a lifetime ago. Enjoying time to reflect on the trek as a group and the personal achievement of all those who took part. Also giving you time to explore the town.

Today, After morning breakfast you will introduced your trekking guide and you can ask question about your trekking which includes briefing and preparations for the trip. After final briefing in remaining time you can do sight-seen around Kathmandu valley, one of the biggest Buddhist shrines in the world, where Buddhist monks in prayer in the monasteries surrounding the stupa. After Budhanath we visit Pashupatinath which is the most famous Hindu temple in the country, located on the banks of the holy Bagmati river. In Pashupatinath we can see Hindu holy men (sadhus) mediating, pilgrims bathing and occasionally funeral pyres burning on the sides of river Bagmati. We also visit Swyambhunath which is also called monkey temple. Overnight at hotel with BB basis.
Transfer to Tribhuwan airport for your final departure.

Tea House are local lodges where you get to eat and sleep during your trek. There are plenty of tea houses across all the trekking routes in Nepal. A tea house trek means that you get to stop and rest each day at a tea house during your trekking period. Unlike camping treks you don’t have to carry food, tents and other items during a tea house trek.
Camping trek: Camping treks require us to carry tents, Kitchen gear, food and other equipment. Unlike tea house treks camping treks are more adventures.
In Nepal, there are two seasons which are considered prime time for trekking. These times range from Feb-May and Sep-Nov. There are places to visit during Monsoon season ( June-August), such as Upper Mustang and Upper West part of the Annapurna Circuit, as these treks are in the “Rain Shadow” and virtually untouched by Nepal Monsoon. Nepal is an extremely diverse country for its size. The temperature can range from extremely hot ( 37-40C) in the lower Terai regions, to negative temperatures in the northern, mountainous regions. Feb-May and Sep-Nov are prime trekking times due to the lovely climate. There is ample sun in the day time and only slightly chilly at night. Monsoon ( June-Aug) can get very hot and humid-with showers usually in the early morning and late afternoon.
HA offers trekking opportunities for all every age and fitness level. Our treks are graded on difficulty level, 1 being the easiest and 5 being for advanced trekkers. The level of difficulty is based on the altitude and natural terrain of the trek. The difficulty levels for each trek can be found on each individual itinerary of both our website and brochures.

Our airport representative will come to the airport to pick up. We will be displaying a play card Global Holidays Adventure with your name on it. You need a visa to Nepal. You can easily get a visa upon your arrival in TIA airport, Kathmandu on paying US$. 40 for a month US$. 100 for three
months.
After the trip confirmation you will send around 25% advance deposited by wire transfer to GHA Bank Account and remaining you can pay after your arrival by Cash or Credit Card but to pay by credit card there will be extra 4% bank service charge. Now Traveler Cheque is not acceptable as per the rule & regulation of Nepal Rastra Bank. We accept visa card, master card & National Card.
In Kathmandu: Here are all kind of Hotel simple to 5* hotel. It’s depends on your demand but normally in our trekking package we use standard rooms from 3* or 4* on BB Basis.
During Trekking: You will have teahouse/lodges generally provide basic clean facilities with a mattress and a quit blanket. We can offer GHA sleeping baggage if needed but it’s good idea to bring your own always. We usually provide you single and double rooms as well as the occasional dormitory.
Toilet Facilities During Trekking: On, Trek common toilet facilities are available at tea house. Now some teahouse have attached bathroom.
Shower Facilities: You will have hot shower in all teahouse but some place there isn’t hot shower, we will provide you hot water in bucket for shower.
Most of guides speak fluently English and some speak well. Some of the support staff do speak little English and some do not speak.
Daily Routine starting from 7 am. Wake-up 7 am, start trek before 8 after breakfast, 11:30 am to 12:30 pm lunch and trek end 3:30 to 4 pm. Time to read or nap before dinner. After dinner there is time to play cards, reflect on all the wondrous moments of your day and talk about tomorrow plan.
Most of Teahouse cook a delicious range of mostly vegetarian fare Pasta, Tuna Bakes, Noodles, Potatos, Eggs, Dalbhat, Bread, Soups, Fresh Vegetable ( Variety depends on the season) and even some desserts like Apple Pies, Pancakes and some interesting attempts at custard. You will find a lot of garlic items on the menu, eat some every day because it assists with acclimatization. YOu can always get hot chocolate, tea, coffee, hot lemon as well as soft drinks. Each day dinner and breakfast are used to take in the same lodge you spend the night. Lunch will take on the way to destination.
Weather in the mountains is notoriously difficult to predict. At night it is generally cooler the days are generally warm. Winter ( January and February ) will be bit colder but the days can be quite beautiful and warm if the sun is out. There will be bit of snow during the month of January, February and December. It is also important to makes sure that you can stay warm and dry in just about any condition. Expert the unexpected! The temperature could be as high as 20 degree c to 15 degree c low during day time.
These facilities will be available in most of the places in your Hotel reception by playing some service. Remember to bring your adapters!!
